The first month after the floor is installed should be used as a test period to assess the best procedure for continued maintenance. Insufficient cleaning will reduce the wear life of the floor covering, and excessive cleaning is an unnecessary expense. Buffing using a power buffer will help control stubborn maintenance areas, and help achieve the desired luster level. The following are maintenance guidelines. Please contact your Flexco representative for special instructions, or refer to your Flexco product data sheets.

1. Remove loose dirt by sweeping or vacuuming as required. Do not use sweeping compound containing oils or solvents.

2. Clean floor thoroughly, using a mild detergent or good grade commercial floor cleanser. Do not use a highly acidic cleanser.

3. Rinse floor, immediately after mopping, with clean, clear, warm water, changing rinse water frequently to avoid leaving dirty residue on the floor.

4. Buff with polishing brush for high sheen, and uniform finish.

5. Refer to product data sheets for detailed maintenance instructions. Maintenance instructions will vary according to products.
Note: Do not perform maintenance for 72 hours after installation to allow adhesives to dry.
